Dakar update (09.01.2019)

Stage 2 delivered dunes and sandy rally tracks. The general pace was high. Snijders kept a steady speed, had to return once to catch a waypoint, and faced some hold up due to the tricky sand. A good overall performance however for the Male-moto driver at the start of this rally.

The motors had to start last for a 342 km special, behind the vehicles, but during the next stage they start first again. This means the riders will get limited time to rest and prepare for Stage 3 to Arequipa. With 467 km ahead, of which 331 km special Snijders starts from a 22nd position in the Male-Moto class (105th overall).
